This blog chronicles my physical transition from female to male. It’s to keep family and friends who are far away updated on my journey to becoming a young man, and to share my experiences with youth and adults who may be coming into their own transgender identity.
A little insight into who I am:
I am an adventurous graduate student studying evolutionary and marine biology who thrives on opportunities to communicate science through watercolors, talks, and alternative and outdoor education and mentorship. I call the beautiful city of San Francisco home these days, but grew up on deep-dish pizza in the Windy City. On the first day of this new year, a friend and I rode my old honda hawk with the ’70s custom paint job up to one of the tallest points in San Francisco. Everyone up there was looking for their own new beginnings. This is mine.
